Casey attended University of Pikeville and obtained his undergraduate degree in English Literature.  He then went to the University of Kentucky for his JD. When not working, you’ll find Casey spending time with his young daughter, reading (current favorite author is Brandon Sanderson), going to the movies or attending Kentucky sports! Casey believes that helping people to get back on their feet is the most rewarding thing he can do. He wants every client to know that they can trust him when he’s on the case, that he will work hard and do whatever it takes to help. His clients get his honest opinion, good or bad, to make sure they get everything they can.

Cecile Matney

Receptionist

Casey attended University of Pikeville and obtained his undergraduate degree in English Literature.  He then went to the University of Kentucky for his JD. Audrey Mullins

April Edmonds

Legal Secretary

April types out and files complaints, interacts with other attorneys, and is the person clients will call to get updates on their cases. She attended Big Sandy college. April states “I was the person who never understood why a person would sue until I got into this business. Now I see the people who are hurt and need someone in their court, fighting for their rights, helping the underdog. I love helping people.” Outside of work she likes to ride side x sides and spend time with her German Shepherd, Sadie.

Billie Coggins

Legal Secretary

Billie is in our Civil Department and works closely with insurance companies. If you have a motor vehicle accident or personal injury claim, Billie will be the one setting up your case. In her spare time, Billie loves to read and put together jigsaw puzzles. Her favorite authors include James Patterson, Danielle Stelle, and John Grisham. She has a cat – Smurfy, and is very proud of her son who is with the Kentucky State Police. She graduated from Morehead State with a BS in Secretarial Studies. She has taught at high schools and for many years at a local business college.

Connie Johnson

Legal Secretary

Connie is in charge of medical records. She keeps cases moving in the medical malpractice and nursing home area. She will work with expert witnesses, review medical billing, and summarize cases. She attends the Main Street Church of Christ and community service acts are close to her heart. She enjoys quilting and painting as well. She has a small farm with blue tick Beagles, and loves to hunt and fish with her husband. She has a diploma in medical billing and coding, and has a medical background, working as an administrative assistant previously. She loves being in this line of work as it’s another aspect of helping people in healthcare, sometimes the most vulnerable of people, and making sure they get compensated for any injuries they have sustained.

Brittany Layne

Legal Secretary

Since 2016 Brittany has been an integral part of the business, specifically in our Worker’s Comp department. She also serves as our office manager, helping to keep everything running smoothly. Originally from Stopover, Kentucky, Brittany didn’t have any experience prior to starting with us, however she quickly picked up on how to navigate the complexities of Worker’s Comp. Brittany’s favorite part of working at Glenn Martin Hammond Law? “Client interaction. I am able to help a person get through a very personal struggle. Glenn truly means it when he says “He Cares”. He will fight for anybody.” In her free time, Brittany enjoys spending time her children, and to her, family is everything.

Connie Jackson

Legal Secretary

As a Legal Secretary handling social security cases, Connie spends a lot of time requesting medical records and ensuring client’s files are up to date. If you are seeing a new doctor or have changes in your medical condition, chances are you’ll hear Connie’s friendly voice when you call in! Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her three grown children and her granddaughter. She loves to read and currently James Patterson is her favorite author.

Lori Kelly

Legal Secretary

Lori works in our Social Security/ Disability department, meeting with clients, filing appeals, viewing cases and making sure medical records are up to date. She loves helping people and is described as a “born motherer”! She has an AA in Criminal Justice and is working on her BS as well. In her free time she enjoys sleeping, reading true crime novels, spending time with her kids and her Chihuahua – Brown Cow!

Jara Howard

Law Clerk

Our Law Clerk, Jara, handles multiple departments, including intakes with social security hearings and civil cases. She thoroughly enjoys the people she works with and her clients, and enjoys being able to help others. After graduating from Appalachian School of Law in 2018, Jara has been spending any free time outside of work studying for the bar exam.

Erin Edwards

IT Specialist

Erin graduated from University of Pikeville with a degree in Mathematics and decided to continue in the IT field at Glenn Martin Hammond Law Office. He enjoys keeping the computers running as well as exploring software options for our office! In his free time he enjoys reading as well as maintaining his certifications in IT.
